Nestled in a small mountain ranch in North Western Colorado, Living Water Fibers and Alpacas was founded out of our passion for the animals and a joy of hand spun and hand crafted products. The ranch is owned and operated by John and Laura Ilko.
From carding and combing of the fiber, to hand spinning our art yarns. Not a single piece of fiber leaves our door without having been inspected by us first.
All our alpacas and sheep are of the highest quality. We perform laboratory sampling of our fibers every other year to make sure our animals are still producing the best fiber possible.

We are a small husband and wife team with a passion for animals and the beautiful fiber that they produce. Everything we do is done with care and consideration for the end product. Please check out the answers to some frequent questions we receive.
1) Is your fiber produced in the United States?
Yes! All the fiber used to create our yarns and spinning fiber is grown from our own herd of 40+ alpacas. They are shorn once a year, and their fleece is then turned into the beautiful products avaiable in our store.
2) How long have you been in business?
Between the two of us, we have some 14 years of fiber arts craft experience. We bring all our knowledge to you in our products.
